Tigger was a lovely bitch, with a beautful head and lovely side movement. She, like her brother, Ryan, had a wonderful show record and finished quite easily. (Her sire, Ch. Meadowlark's Equalizer a full brother of Vindicators from a repeat breeding, sired only 4 litters but produced some very nice offspring. He had a beautiful dark coat, long neck and a truly correct and beautiful head.) Tigger had a robust constitution, and was quite active until the end at almost 15. She had 2 sisters who lived until 16, so there was good longevity in this litter.

Gracie was a stud fee puppy out of a litter sired by Rich And Famous and out of Jean Johnson's, Ch. MiJeans Abracadabra. Abby was out of Ch. Tramore Jester O'MiJean (Ch. O'Kerrie's Armagh ex Ch. Tramore Every So Often), and was a gorgeous dog with fabulous movement, and beautiful type. We liked Gracie so much that we decided to buy her brother from Jean, and who went on to become Ch. MiJean's Eye of the Storm. Gracie did well in the show ring, but we remember her fondly for producing our beautiful, and winning Ch. Tramore Yours and Ch. Tramore Yes She Is, owned by Kim Lamontagne, Keliaire. Gracie lived with Sarah Stokes, and live to a ripe old age, primarily because of the great excercise she got hiking and snowshoeing with Sarah. Gracie's great, great granddaughter, Heidi, now lives with Sarah and family.

Sinner was purchased from Jean Johnson, and sired by our Ryan. He finished quite easily, but only produced a few litters so doesn't continue down through our current pedigrees. He had a lovely head, beautiful balance, and wonderful side gait. He was very sweet and liveable dog.

Alice! What can we say about Alice except that we loved her. She, like Gracie, was a Rich And Famous daughter and a stud fee puppy. Her Dam, Ch. Meadowlark's Andromeda, won Best In Sweeps at the Newport Beach National. She was gorgeous and when bred to Ryan, produced 4 or 5 Champions including one Best In Show son. Alice came to us at 12 weeks, and it was love at first site. She had such a gorgeous head, long ears, lots of bone and body, and was just "my kind of bitch". (Her photo doesn't do her justice.) Somehow, the name Alice was rather "tong in cheek" since the name "Alice" somehow seemed more frail and ladylike. Alice came into her own around 14 months, at the upstate New York National, where she won a very tough 12-18 month bitch class, then went on to Reserve Winner Bitch. We were thrilled. She finished with 4 majors, including 3 at Specialties.

Etta was shown sparingly, but made her mark regardless. She finished with 4 majors (3 Specialty), 2 Specialty Best of Breeds, and a Best In Sweeps at 21 months. A beautiful mover, she had that beautiful length of rib and short loin that the Breed is starting to loose. She was a sweet heart and left us too soon. She lives on through her son, Ch. Tramore Category III and grandson, Ch. Galewinns Spirit of Tramore.

Burke was for a time, the youngest Irish Setter to finish it's Championship.....10 months, 6 days. This was never planned or orchastrated. It just happend. He finished with 4 majors at 3 Specialties, 4 Best of Winners, 3 Best In Sweeps, a Best of Breed (over at least 8 Specials) in 10 shows. The one Specialty weekend in New Mexico I didn't even have him entered in the last 2 shows cause "he was a puppy" and I thought it might be too much. He was ISCA's Winners Dog, and runner up Golden Leash for 1994. He had a super lovely temperament and we loved his type, balance, movement, and head. He sired only a few litters before he went sterile at a very young age. We were devasted as he had so much to offer the Breed. He continues on through his daughter, Ch. Tramore Farpoint Curtin Call, who, as the dam of Ch. Tramore Elixir and Ch. Tramore Endeavour, is in all of our current pedigrees.

Diva linebreed back to our Ch. Tramore Kiandra and is much like her in style and type. She had a sweet, but sometimes wicked, temperament. One day she was barking, barking at my husband's Lab, who was in a run, but her tail was wagging all the time. Diva put her nose where it shouldn't have been, and Trudie (the Lab) bit it. The look on Diva's face was priceless.....as if to say "why would you do that, I was only playing!!" She never did that again. Diva's contribution were her lovely daughters that she produced with Ch. Touchstone's Out of the Blue. They all finished very quickly with big wins, and two, when bred to Ch. Gwyndara Double Impact are in all the dogs we have today. We miss you Diva.
