Tramore Irish Setters
Whelped December 23, 2003

Izzie is one of our very specials girls.  She finished her Championship with 4 majors, two being 5 point Specialty ones, and two on Specialty weekends.  She also had several Best In Sweeps along the way.  As a Special she has done equally well.  In less then a year, in limited showing, she has 6 Specialty Best In Shows, 3 Group I's, and multiple Group placements.  She also made the cut at the Westminster Kennel Club Show in 2008.   Izzie is beautifully balanced front to rear, has a huge correct side gait, a beautiful face with a soft expression, and best of all, the most liveable temperament.  She is a friend to all, and has a very special place in our hearts.  Her first litter, using frozen semen, is very nice, but since there were only 3, we may consider breeding her again.

Izzie with her handler and best friend, Monica Lamontagne.  They took a little time off from the shows to just enjoy the day.  We really appreciate all the care, time and beautiful presentation of our special girl.  Thanks Monica.

Westminster is the second oldest sporting event in the country and very prestigeous.  To even get there is an honor.   Izzie made the cut and we were thrilled.  Thanks to all of you who suggested we really should have had an Award of Merit. High Five to Monica for her supurb job of presenting Izze.

This picture is not the best, but that day was a very special one for me.  Izzie not only won the Breed but went on to win the Sporting Dog Group which was a Best In Show.  Best of all, I got to see her move so beautifully that it just took my breath away.  This was what I had bred for.

This was the last time I showed Izzie in the Breed.  Monica  took over and the rest is history...as they say.

Before we decided to Special Izzie, I took her out a few times myself.  She did pretty well so the decision was made to get more serious and use a handler.  That is really not my "bag"..... I love the class dogs!  That was a rainy, cold day so her coat was a bit of a mess.

Izze had a little fun time at Red Rocks Park near Denver.  I just couldn't help stacking her in front of that lovely backdrop.

Izzie at 18 months the day she finished her Championship.  She had blown her coat but finished easily that day in big Specialty competition.  Since the show photo wasn't very good, we took this.  Guess she really doesn't need coat to look good.
